But once I got into it, it was a lot of fun and I made a lot of friends and the races were a lot of fun. The instructions were so straightforward, and it was really easy and fun to do it.\u201d (Visually Impaired Student, RSBC)<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At\u00a0Twin Science, we seek out every opportunity to bridge the education gap in our communities.\u00a0We wish to close\u00a0this\u00a0gap and ensure that all children receive equal educational opportunities\u00a0by ensuring our products are accessible and that we\u00a0focus our resources to delivering the\u00a0latest technologies to the most disadvantaged and underserved kids.\u00a0Our\u00a0purpose for doing this is\u00a0to\u00a0develop kids\u00a0of all backgrounds\u00a0with\u00a0double wings.\u00a0The first wing represents strong competences in different subject areas while the second wing denotes highly developed 21st century skills and a strong sense of social responsibility.\u00a0We hope\u00a0to\u00a0accomplish this\u00a0through\u00a0delivering\u00a0a wholesome STEAM education\u00a0to the coming generations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29318\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-8.jpg 900w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-8-300x169.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-8-768x432.jpg 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-8-480x270.jpg 480w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-8-600x337.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our workshop with the Royal Society for Blind Children London\u00a0was focused on delivering advanced, yet fun and engaging educational projects\u00a0suited to their needs. Our workshop proved to be a success and\u00a0demonstrated\u00a0that science has a unifying power. Our team\u00a0guided\u00a0students\u00a0through a number of\u00a0projects\u00a0that\u00a0were\u00a0accessible and fitted their needs without sacrificing\u00a0any of the important skill-development\u00a0aspects of the projects.\u00a0At the end of the\u00a0day, we saw that\u00a0the\u00a0students were able to design\u00a0and build\u00a0autonomous vehicles with our Twin Kits!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-9.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29319\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-9.jpg 900w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-9-300x169.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-9-768x432.jpg 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-9-480x270.jpg 480w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/twinscience-blog-banner-gercek-boyut-9-600x337.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At first,\u00a0the students seemed to\u00a0question their ability\u00a0to build these\u00a0projects and interact with the\u00a0technologies\u00a0in the Twin Kits.\u00a0With some encouragement and some\u00a0explanation,\u00a0however,\u00a0the students quickly\u00a0embraced the core goals of our projects and\u00a0jumped into everything with confidence and excitement.\u00a0Soon, they were playing with the modules, going beyond guided projects and\u00a0taking the initiative to discover\u00a0new\u00a0creations\u00a0without\u00a0much\u00a0direction needed by our team.\u00a0Each time they learned a new feature of the technologies, they were encouraged to go\u00a0further. At the end of the day,\u00a0students expressed that they\u00a0were surprised with they\u00a0accomplished\u00a0and that they had more confidence to learn about and design new creations. The technology that seemed tough at the beginning was now easy-peasy!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop\u2019s main focus was to inspire the\u00a0students to\u00a0discover\u00a0how fun they could have when\u00a0encouraged to go out of their\u00a0comfort zone and\u00a0learn new things. We saw that not only did we achieve this, but also\u00a0our team and RSBC volunteers\u00a0really\u00a0enjoyed\u00a0the workshop\u00a0a lot. They joined\u00a0in\u00a0with\u00a0the construction of the cars\u00a0while\u00a0guiding\u00a0kids with instructions\u00a0\u2013\u00a0we saw this left\u00a0a\u00a0lasting impression on the students and volunteers because they were able to\u00a0make\u00a0valuable and deep connections\u00a0by working together.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cIt was fascinating session.
