1) Premium sustainability training for all students during November & December

Step1: Watch Interactive Videos

Observe climate change with interactive videos featuring a real explorer.

Step2: Create Hands-on Projects

Complete global warming challenges and projects. Share them with peers.

Step3: Solve Fun Trivia Questions

Play climate change trivia with friends and grow your knowledge together.

Step4: Play Creative STEM+A Games

Collect trash from the ocean and compete with friends to get the highest points.

3) Compete in the virtual finals on January to win the grand prize

Twin will announce 10 finalists to attend the finals and present their project directly to competition review committee.  Winner team will be announced in the event.

Twin will announce 10 finalists to attend the finals and present their project directly to competition review committee.  Winner team will be announced in the event.

The competition review committee will use a weighted rubric to calculate a combined score of teams in the following categories.

  • Real World Problem Description: 30%
  • STEM Solution Design: 30%
  • Video Explanation: 40%

What students need to know?

  • Students age group will be 7 to 13.
  • Students will work as a team of 4 members.
  • Each team will have a team advisor (teacher) and 4 students.
  • Each team will research and define a real world problem they care about. Problems should be described by emphasizing who is affected and how.
  • Students will brainstorm and describe a design for a new solution to the problem using STEM concepts. 
  • Teams are free to use any craft materials or STEM kits available in the school. (Twin kits, LEGO kits or other STEM kits)
  • Each team will build a prototype of their solution.
  • Teams will share their solution with a 3 minute video in Twin app.

  • Each school can have up to 5 teams. Teams can have different team advisors or 1 team advisor can be responsible from 5 teams.
  • Team advisors will observe children’s performance in 6 weeks educational period and form teams after this period. 
  • The challenge of the competition will be providing a STEM solution to a real-world problem related to sustainability. 
  • Teams can use any STEM or craft material available in the school. Schools that wish to procure a STEM kit can buy Twin STEM Education Pack with 20% discount.
  • Team advisors will empower students to define a problem, come up with a STEM solution, build a prototype and create a 3 minute video.
  • Teams will work on the challenge. Team advisors will help students to link the solutions to UN Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Team advisors will submit the video in Twin app.
